Borrowing her title from the 1979 classic Joy Division song, Irene entitled a collection of small brown bears Love Will Tear Us Apart. She meticulously cast over 100 little bears with gold bursting from their tiny chests and arranged them into a heart shape on the wall of Gallery 1. Take time to observe each of the little bears, as each are distinct in form. Although each bear was created from the same mould, none are alike - some have little heads or flat heads, golden ears or even no ears. Truly a sight to behold!
